I purchased a DMT 8" Dia Sharp plate from Toolcraft 6 month ago and found the plate to be a fantastic, always flat and always ready to use (no soaking required) that cuts as you would expect from diamonds. Highly recommend these plates, also no pressure is required when honing and something to learn/consider if you are traditional stone user.
