#60-½ Low Angle Block Plane
The Luban #60-½ Low Angle Block Plane is a really useful tool. Block Planes are always amongst the first woodworking bench tools that people invest in and they are a have-to-have in the basic toolkit for most types of woodworking.
With it's fully adjustable mouth, when finely set, this Block Plane is capable of easily dealing with end grain and tear-out problems.
Block Planes are used for chamfering waste to eliminate breakout, tidying up the ends of boards after cutting to length, and fixing any slight inaccuracies from the earlier stages of production. Their short sole makes them ideal for tidying up little patches of tear-out and their relatively light weight means that after a while you almost use them without thinking.
