Available in 7 lightly tinted colour tones. A 2 coat application (or possibly 3 thin coats for softwoods or timbers in full exposed conditions). With daily variances in UV strength, the treated surface should be inspected regularly for fading, and maintenance undertaken where required. In most situations, the finish will last 12-18 months before recoat is required.
Recoat is easy. Generally, a wash down and clean is all that is needed, followed by one rejuvenation coat once the timber is dry. Where the timber has been left to grey off, the wood will need rejuvenation with a product such as Osmo's Wood Reviver Power Gel.
Note: UV Protection Oil Natural 429 is optimally balanced with white pigments to retain the natural character of light coloured timbers such as pine and oak. It is not recommended for use on darker timbers such as kwila or jarrah etc, as the white pigment may give the timber a chalky appearance. Applied to timber in full exposure, UV Natural will last approximately 4-6 months before recoat is required.
In all cases a trial test to determine suitability is recommended.
