Wood Wax Intensive Colours Gentian Blue 375ml
Osmo Wood Wax Finish combines all the advantages of oils and waxes in one unique product. Resistant to water and dirt and very durable, the waxes smoothen the wood surface, while the oils penetrate to protect from within. Easy application with a cloth, brush, or white pad – no need for a primer or sanding between coats, which saves time and money. Resistant against liquid spillages and also easy to refresh or spot-repair. When dried the surface is non-toxic and safe for humans, plants and animals.

Method of application
WOOD WAX FINISH BY HAND WITH A CLOTH/RAG
Transparent (1-coat): Apply a thin coat with a lint-free cloth.
- Work product thinly and evenly onto wood using cloth
- For a more solid colour, ensure product is applied evenly, then proceed to step 5
- For a subtle effect: allow roughly 15-minutes for oils to penetrate and then proceed to step 4
- Working with the grain, remove all excess product from surface with a clean lint-free cloth
- Allow 8-10 hours drying time. Allow for good ventilation whilst drying.
- For flooring, a top coat of Osmo Polyx®-Oil is required for added durability against wear and stains
Intensive (2-coats): Apply two thin coats with a lint-free cloth.
- Once first coat has dried (8-10 hours) apply a second thin coat for a solid colour
- Allow 8-10 hours drying time. Allow for good ventilation whilst drying.
- Two coats is not recommended for high-wear surfaces like flooring
BY HAND WITH A FLOOR BRUSH
Apply two thin coats with an Osmo Floor Brush or Osmo Natural Bristle Brush for smaller areas.
- Apply with the brush thinly along the wood grain on the clean and dry wood surface
- For a subtle glazing effect, apply thinly with a cloth, and within 20 minutes wipe away excess
- Allow 8-10 hours drying time before recoating. Allow for good ventilation whilst drying.
- Apply second coat following the previous steps
- Clean brush with Osmo Brush Cleaner and Thinner (benzene-free) or Turpentine
WARNING: Cloths saturated with product are a spontaneous combustion hazard and should be left out unfolded until dried, prior to disposal or preferably stored in a proper fireproof container
BY HAND WITH A FLOOR ROLLER
Apply two thin coats with an Osmo Microfibre Floor Roller.
- Stir the Wood Wax Finish well and pour into tray
- Take the Microfibre Roller and roll well on the grid of the tray
- Roll very thinly and evenly onto the wood following the grain
- Allow 8-10 hours drying time before recoating. Allow for good ventilation whilst drying.
- For flooring, a top coat of Polyx®-Oil 3054 is required for added durability against wear and stains
- Clean roller with Osmo Brush Cleaner and Thinner (benzene-free) or Turpentine
Tip: The microfiber roller should only be saturated lightly. A lightly saturated roller will allow the user to cover approximately 43-53 ft2 (4-5m2) of flooring. Please be aware that Osmo Wood Wax Finish has a high yield (see product label). Product excesses and roller tracks must be roller or smoothed out immediately.
MECHANICALLY WITH A FLOOR BUFFER
Apply one thin coat with an Osmo FloorxCenter or floor-buffing machine.
- Stir the Wood Wax Finish well prior to use.
- Trowel the product thinly onto the floor using an Osmo Double Sided Scraper or similar.
- Disperse and polish the floor using a floor buffer and white pads.
- There is too much material on the surface when you can see rings. Turn the pad over.
- Allow 8-10 hours drying time. Allow for good ventilation whilst drying
- In order to protect the pigments, 1-coat of clear Osmo Polyx®-Oil is necessary as a top coat
Tinting: Osmo Wood Wax Finish can also be used to lightly tint Polyx®-Oil 3054 up to a ratio of 10:1. Do not exceed a ratio of 10 parts Polyx®-Oil 3054 to 1 part Wood Wax Finish.
Aftercare

DEEP CLEANING
For more stubborn marks, light scratches or if the surface is starting to look tired or worn, an application of Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner may be required.
