The Axminster Professional AP254SB Saw Bench is built for daily use in a busy workshop. It has been carefully designed to include many useful features. It offers an impressive 80mm depth of cut and with its cast iron, right hand extension table allowing a generous 695mm width of cut to the fence. The motor, castings and trunnions are all mounted on the saw’s chassis. This is a much better and stronger option as it doesn't place any stress on the underside of the table.
The AP254SB’s chassis is heavy gauge steel, supporting the smooth cast iron table. A quality mitre fence runs in T-slot grooves provided on both sides of the blade. The full length fence is a rigid T-style which locks at the front, adjustment is smooth and easy. The rip fence comes with a Hi/Lo aluminium auxiliary fence.
The 2.5kW 1ph quiet and powerful induction motor gives you all the oomph required. Blade adjustment for height and tilt are controlled separately on individual handwheels.
A steel rear take-off is also supplied. Two point dust extraction is via a 63mm connection on the blade guard hose combined with a 100mm outlet at the rear of the machine. Connection to a suitable extractor is recommended.
Supplied with an Axcaliber TCT general purpose blade, R/H side and rear extension tables. The R/H extension is 800mm long x 440mm wide offering a max cutting width of 695mm.
Optional accessories include Sliding Crosscut Table, Overhead Crown Guard and Dado Blade Set for grooving.
N.B. This Machine requires a 16amp supply and it's recommended that a C Type breaker is used, if you are unsure please contact a qualified electrician.
Cast iron tables
The large fine ground cast iron tables provide smooth running, reduced vibration and a long life for your table saw.
Independently mounted table & trunnion assembly
The trunnion assembly is mounted independently on the saw's frame, relieving stress on the table and ensuring that the table remains flat and true over time.
Solid "T" style dual height rip fence
Achieve close to the blade work as well as heavy duty ripping with the dual height rip fence, with a solid "T" style design for accuracy.
Rear & RH extension table included
As well as providing stability, the right hand extension table gives you a maximum cutting width overall of 695mm.
Powerful 2.5kw motor
The quiet and powerful induction motor maintains blade speed for a consistent cut.
Twin mitre fence table slots
Twin T-slot mitre fence slots on both sides of the blade, ideal for jig use. Also supplied with a premium mitre gauge with useful pre-set angle stops.
Compatible with Dado Blade
With the available accessories of Dado Blade Table Insert and Overhead Crown Guard, the AP254SB is compatible with a Dado Blade Set which enables the easy cutting of grooves.
Dual dust extraction ports
Keep the saw line clear with a 63mm blade guard hose connection to clear above the blade as well as a 100mm rear outlet to clear below.
Heavy duty handwheels
Metal handwheels provide a smooth operation for blade adjustment.
