I bought myself a bend rule a week ago and use it to mark out my measurements on everything! From pen blanks to mortise hinges. So simple to use, and so accurate. There is no error in transfering lines from face side to face edge. And I no longer need three tools to do so. My only regret is that I didn't know about these and acquire one years ago. Do yourself a favour and get one. Simple jigs are the best to use.
Precise layout is crucial to how a project turns out. The accuracy of woodworking machinery is of little consequence if the layout markings are not placed accurately.
Regardless of how simple or complicated a design is, we all need the most precise measuring and marking tools for accurate neat joinery.
I have used Incra Bend Rulers for the past 12 years and over and above not struggling with parallax errors, I find them more and more indispensable as I get older and my eyes weaken.
I fully recommend the entire range of Incra Rulers and squares to all woodworkers, young and old.
